Q: How far ahead of my wedding should I place my order?
A: The Wise Bride does not hold stock, so standard orders generally take around 2 weeks. Some products are ordered from the US so please allow around 3 weeks for these orders (this will be specified on the relevant page). Personalised orders take approximately 4-6 weeks. During peak wedding season (September to April in Australia) bomboniere products are in high demand; it is recommended that you place your order as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
Q: My order is urgent, can you help?
A: If your order is particularly urgent, please contact us as we may be able to assist you by either having the goods sent Express Post or direct from our suppliers.
Q: How do I pay for my order?
A: The Wise Bride accepts credit card payments via Paypal, a secure encrypted online payment service. You can choose to open an account with Paypal or just use it to make your payment without opening an account. You are also welcome to pay via EFT, please contact us for our bank account details.
Q: My order is wrong, what should I do?
A: The Wise Bride is happy to exchange or refund your order if it is faulty, or if wrong (provided that the goods remain unopened in their original packaging). Personalised orders cannot be returned or refunded if the mistake is with the customer's order. If the mistake with personalised orders is made by The Wise Bride or its supplier, the goods will be replaced or refunded, in consultation with The Wise Bride. The Wise Bride is proud of its customer service, and you can be assured that should you encounter any problems, they will be dealt with fairly and promptly.
Q: I love your DIY kits but none of the colours match my wedding.
A: We are more than happy to change any of the colours of the DIY kits (or contents) to match your wedding theme. Note however that some alterations may incur additional charges.
Q: I love your products - do you have a shop where I can view them?
A: The Wise Bride is an online store only. We do have a display stand at The Australian Bridal Fair, 211 Flinders Street, Adelaide where a small range of our products can be viewed.
Q: How are the delivery costs calculated and how are your goods sent?
A: Delivery costs are outlined in our ordering page. All orders are posted via Australia Post registered mail, and Express Post where necessary.
Q: How do I store my rock candy?
A: Rock candy is very sensitive to extremes of heat and cold. Rock candy should be left as long as possible in its sealed bags and kept in a cool dry place, but not in the refrigerator as it will become sticky. We recommend filling your bomboniere containers as close as possible to your wedding day, and no more than a week beforehand, so that the candy doesn't become sticky or cling together.
Q: How do I store my freeze-dried rose petals?
A: Rose petals should be stored in their original sealed bags for as long as possible in a cool dark place (not the refrigerator). For confetti, open the bags on the day of your wedding, the petals will be drier and fly better. For table decorations or the wedding aisle open the bags the day prior to your wedding, the petals will soften up in the air and feel like real petals. Avoid using petals in the rain as they may present a slipping hazard. Wet petals may stain carpets, flooring and clothing.
